Stand Up for America

The following are remarks of  Abigail Spanberger, newly elected Governor of Virginia, taken from her Inauguration speech…

“We mark 250 years since the dawn of American freedom: What will our children, grandchildren, and their descendants write about this time in our Commonwealth’s history—this chapter—50, 100, and 250 years from now?”

“Will they say that we let divisions fester or challenges overwhelm us? Or will they say that we stood up for what is right, fixed what is broken, and served the common good here in Virginia?

Today, we’re hearing the call to connect more deeply to our American Experiment—to understand our shared history, not as a single point in time, but as a lesson for how we create our more prosperous future. And so I ask—what will you do to help us author this next chapter?”

Who will heed the call today? 

With the exception of a handful of billionaires and millionaires, it’s been a very painful year for US citizens. Millions have lost their health insurance. Food prices have skyrocketed, there are thousands of armed, masked ICE thugs sent by Trump roaming the streets of Minnesota, intimidating citizens, snatching people from their cars, wrestling people to the street, and even killing a 37 year old American citizen, mother of 3 children because she dared, along with thousands of other Minnesotans, to protest their presence. Don’t doubt that they’re coming to a city near you!

Of course it was clear when Trump was re-elected that this was coming, especially since Republicans in Congress and the US Supreme Court have given him free reign.

After he spent months killing over 100 alleged narco-terrorists in small “Go Fast” boats off the coast of Venezuela that he said were running FENTANYL? Or COCAINE? (not sure which) to America (not sure where, maybe Florida? A couple of thousand miles in a Go Fast??), even murdering one survivor who was clinging to a piece of the boat. This, of course, was just the prelude to whet your appetite before the Big Show of invading Venezuela and kidnapping their president (clearly a bad guy, but who are we to talk about bad presidents!!). For what? To pronounce himself King of Venezuela and steal their oil. The proceeds from the sale of this oil are going directly into Trump’s private off-shore account.

What else? Oh, I know! Let’s invade Greenland (a NATO partner) so we can steal their Rare Earth Minerals! We’ll tell them it’s for their own good, to protect them from China or Russia. The’ll be happy to have us! Is it even about minerals? Or is it about destroying NATO? Danish troops arrived yesterday in Greenland to defend the island NATO island from the USA!

STOP! STOP! STOP! How much more pain will we and the world have to suffer at the hands of this Bat-Shit Megalomaniac? When will the Congress take back its responsibility? Do we have to wait for the ’26 Mid-terms or even longer for the ’28 election? 

There is a solution…the 25th Amendment! Republicans in Congress, it’s up to you! DO IT! I figure we could stand to look at JD, an ineffectual kiss-ass, for the next 3 years. 

 Let’s stand with Minnesotans and Greenlanders! Make your voice heard and if possible make your presence felt!

Sorry, I’m rambling on, but it’s like being at the business end of a fire hose…too much to deal with at one time!
